The character I tested (Xiaolin Bai, an Ancient China AI Wife) had 51 saves, 24 gallery images, and a tag list including specific kinks like Foot, Submission and Fellatio.

Chat & Sexting

Chat is the strongest part of the platform in my testing. Reply latency was about 5 seconds, replies came back as 1-2 paragraphs of in-character roleplay using italic action markup (*she leans closer*), the same convention Character.AI and Tavern use. The 30-message free daily limit means you can run a full session without spending PeepCoins.

What surprised me: explicit content is unlocked on the free tier, not behind subscription. I tested with an Ancient China roleplay scenario and a directly NSFW follow-up message. The reply came back fully in-character (Ming dynasty references, Mandarin call-out, court vocabulary) and explicit, with no filter intervention. That's not normal for free tiers in this category, Candy AI, Dream GF and most competitors gate explicit replies behind a subscription.

Memory uses what AI Peeps calls 'recursive summarization', older messages are compressed into memory slots rather than dropped. Peep Pal lets you view those memory slots, Peep Pro lets you edit them and pin specific facts so they're never deleted. This is more sophisticated than Candy AI's 32K-context window, in concept.

Image Generation

This is where AI Peeps gets technically interesting. Three image models are available:

The Prism model with Booru tags is unusual in the AI companion space. Most competitors hide the prompt entirely or only offer slider-based controls. AI Peeps gives you full Booru-tag access if you want it, plus a preset Action / Background / Outfit / Expression selector for users who don't.

I generated one test image using Forge with From-Chat context (the system pulls context from the last 2 chat messages). Generation took 27 seconds, the output was 832×1216 pixels, HD-grade semi-realistic painterly style. Per-image cost is 10 PeepCoins, confirmed by the balance going from 60 to 50 after the generation.

Two findings worth noting. First, the output carries an Aipeeps.com watermark in the corner, visible on every generated image. Second, the From-Chat context didn't reliably pick up the unusual setting (Ancient China silk robe) and gave me a Victorian-style green dress portrait with a European interior instead. The face matched the profile (green eyes, dark hair, slim build), but the scenario context was lost. Direct Forge prompting would likely fix this, From-Chat is convenience-first, not accuracy-first.

Image Retry Tokens are a nice touch: if you don't like the output, the system refunds coins. Subscribers get the refund back into their monthly allowance, free users earn retry tokens via purchases and can apply them to any image under 48 hours old.

Video Generation

Video generation requires starting from an image, it's image-to-video rather than text-to-video. The system has 'Video Actions' (preset animations you can select), with a recommendation to pick 1-2 actions manually since auto-detect doesn't always pick the right one for complex scenes. There's also an experimental 'Loopy Videos' feature for seamless looping animations (best for naturally repetitive actions like dancing).

Per-video math: roughly 40 PeepCoins per clip, so Peep Pal users get about 43 videos a month before topping up, Peep Pro about 98. The video prompt only works for SFW actions, NSFW actions must be selected from the preset Actions list. I did not generate a video in this test session, so I'm reporting feature documentation rather than direct observation.

Voice Chat

Voice chat is locked to subscription tiers, not available on the Peep Starter free tier I tested. The FAQ notes that voice chat has two parts (your microphone via voice-to-text, and the character's voice via text-to-speech), and that the voice-to-text input depends on browser support, which is unreliable on some mobile browsers. The character's voice (TTS) should work almost everywhere.

Custom Character Creation

The create-peep wizard walks through style, ethnicity, age, body, hair, personality and scenario opener. Interface & User Experience

Interface is clean and dark by default. Character cards on the homepage loop short video previews instead of static images, which is a nice touch. The sidebar navigation gives one-click access to Browse, Chat, Create, Media (your generated content), Chats history, Account and Settings.

'Install App' on the homepage installs a PWA, not a native app, works fine on mobile browsers but no push notifications and no app-store presence. There's a referral program built into the platform: every user gets a personal referral link (aipeeps.net/?ref={handle}) that earns PeepCoins when someone signs up and makes a purchase. Billing runs through Stripe. Statement descriptor is 'AI Service.' Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work through Stripe checkout. What's missing for trust: there's no public legal entity disclosed.
